Clouds entered my room

while you were out I summoned

Shaitan to our den and we played a card game

nondescript and repetitive as were the

seasons once you left.

Moons had passed and so had insect lifespans

as I sat counting in millimetres the depth

of the void you left in me.

Endless, I mumbled to myself

he only sat and watched, never beckoning.
